Arsenio Torres grew up in a creative household. His mom is an accomplished dance instructor and his father, a seasoned musician. Their own artistic endeavors were encouraged, but Arsenio found solace in drawing.

 

His talent was recognized early on, and at the age of seven, he was enrolled in his school's Talented and Gifted Program. Time spent in T.A.G. heightened Arsenio's artistic awareness as he became involved with the design of theatrical backdrops and flyers for elementary school plays. It was here his love for painting was cultivated.

 

In 2005 Arsenio decided to pursue painting more seriously, and his drive eventually paid off landing him a number of solo and group exhibitions. In 2009 he decided to continue his development as an artist by enrolling in the Art Students League of New York. Today he studies and lives in New York where he continues to evolve as an artist.

 

Arsenio's paintings can be described as curious abstractions of sceneries and digital life as we know it. The paintings consist of multiple layers that endow still content with the allusion of movement.

From Woodstock with Joe Cocker, through ten years of touring with Tom Jones, to forming his Latin Jazz band, the Bobby Torres Ensemble, Bobby's been on the music scene for over 35 years.

 

Bobby Torres is a record producer, songwriter, percussion instructor, session musician and bandleader based in Portland, Oregon. Since 1995, the Bobby Torres Ensemble has been his central focus.
